United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women of Coppell is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand the concept of mission through participation in the global and local ministries of the church.
UMW Circles - UMW circles are simply smaller groups of women from our church and our community who meet together throughout the year. These gatherings provide a great opportunity to meet women in an atmosphere that fosters colse friendships. Even though the meetings are only once a month, September through May, the connections you make can last a lifetime.
Whether you are looking to get more involved in the church, feel a call to provide hands-on minssion to those in need, are going through a big change in your life, want to make new friends, or want to insert a few hours of meaningful time into your fast-paced life, there is a cirlce for you.
Hannah Circle: This morning circle meets the second Monday of each month from 9:30-11:30 am at the home of a circle member. There is always plenty of coffee, brunch and fellowship after which a devotional and book study is lead by various members.
Mary Martha Circle: This circle is the only afternoon circle and is comprised of a more senior group of women who have had the chance to experience more life and wisdom in their time. It meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 1:00 pm at various members homes with fellowship and refreshments followed by a lesson.
Lydia Circle: The Lydia circle meets at the Church on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in room 306. If the first Monday falls on a holiday, the meeting will be on the second Monday of the month. After a devotional and a discussion everyone completes a craft project taught by one of the members.
Kairos Circle: This evening circle meets the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm and is comprised of women mostly in their 40's-60's although any age is welcome! The meetings are hosted in homes of the members each month with lots of warm fellowship and refreshments followed by a discussion of a study book.
Rachel Circle: The Rachel circle is comprised of mostly younger women and women who have young through high school age children. They meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. The meetings are held in either the home of a member or at a local restaurant. There is a time of fellowship and dinner followed by a discussion on various life issues--no preparation or study book is needed!
Please Note: Childcare is provided at the church for the evening circles. Reservations for childcare must be made in advance, (48 hours) by calling 972-462-0471, ext 226. We need to have at least 4 children signed up to cover childcare costs.
